The public-private partnership Bournemouth Development Company (BDC) has competed its latest £12m scheme. The Treetops development, located in Bournemouth town centre, offers one, two and three-bedroom homes for rent. BCP Council purchased Treetops from BDC as a long-term investment asset. The homes are being operated as a private-sector rental scheme via the council’s wholly owned services company Seascape Homes & Property Limited under a 25-year lease. BDC is a 50:50 partnership between BCP Council and national urban regenerator Muse Developments, a Morgan Sindall Group company. It was established in 2011 to help regenerate Bournemouth town centre. The development also return profits back to BCP Council for investment in future regeneration projects – two of the main aims of the partnership.
