Work begins on £9.7m affordable housing scheme in Norfolk

Work is underway on a £9.7m housing project that will create 73 new affordable homes in Norfolk.

The development is being delivered by United Living New Homes’ subsidiary, Partner Construction, on behalf of housing provider Flagship Homes.

It will see a mix of two-bedroom bungalows, one-bedroom walk-up flats and two, three and four-bedroomed houses constructed on the site in Necton.

Supported by Homes England funding, all the properties will be available for either shared ownership or affordable rent, ensuring genuine affordability for residents and widening the range of housing options for the local community.

Frank Lincoln, Regional Managing Director of Partner Construction said: ‘We are delighted to have started building at Tower Mill. Working collaboratively with Flagship Homes, we look forward to delivering high-quality new homes that will provide a welcome housing boost to the local community.

‘The name ‘Tower Mill’ was chosen as a nod to the local mill in the village and we feel that this is a great starting point in the process of integrating this new development with the existing community. In addition, the beautiful rural location and open space is to be respected with landscaping plans already in pace, to ensure the scheme is in keeping with the surrounding area.’

The new homes are due to be completed in early 2024.
