An innovative new project will explore how technology can improve the built environment. InnOvaTe will explore the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) a network of physical objects, vehicles, machines, home appliances and more, that use sensors and software to connect and exchange data over the internet to then make changes for citizens and local businesses to improve services. Digital Catapult, a technology and innovation centre that aims to unlock digital growth in the UK economy, will act as an advisory and assurance partner to support South London Partnership (SLP) to deliver sustainable economic growth while assessing the potential to deliver significant savings to the future borough councils. The partnership will begin with a series of five targeted innovation workshops to engage businesses, local communities and internal stakeholders within each of the SLP councils.
