The chief executive of Doncaster Council is to leave the role in the summer for a new job in New Zealand. The local authority confirmed yesterday that Jo Miller is to become the chief executive of Hutt City Council, near Wellington in New Zealand in July. Ms Miller has been the top officer at Doncaster since 2012 and is also a former president of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives. In 2017, the Local Government Chronicle named her the third most influential person in local government.
