The two most senior bosses at Robin Hood Energy have been terminated as directors of the local authority-owned energy company. Documents filed with Companies House shortly before Christmas (December 20) show that both chief executive Gail Scholes and finance director Robert Bain had their employment as directors terminated on 16 December 2019. A spokesperson for Robin Hood Energy, which is owned by Nottingham City Council, said: ‘Due to an ongoing internal process it’s not appropriate to make any further comment at this stage. ‘We can confirm three new senior executives from energy backgrounds have been appointed to continue our mission of reducing fuel poverty and challenge the Big Six energy companies by putting people before profits.’ The spokesman confirmed that Jeff Whittingham has been appointed as interim chief executive.
