Wolverhampton is a Millennium City with a thousand years of history, 31 Conservation Areas and 500 listed buildings.

The City is located on the north western fringe of the West Midlands conurbation, with the beautiful countryside of Shropshire and Staffordshire on the doorstep and excellent transport links to Birmingham, London, Manchester and Liverpool.

We are looking for an experienced, approachable and pragmatic Conservation Officer, preferably with Urban Design skills, to work with Planners and developers to regenerate the City in a way which respects its historic environment.

If you are self-motivated and have the relevant qualifications and experience we would be very happy to hear from you.

If you wish to apply you are encouraged to phone Ian Holliday (Planning Section Leader), on 01902 554007 or Stephen Alexander (Head of City Planning) on 01902 555610) for an informal conversation.

Interviews will take place on 29 January 2019.

Closing date 20 January 2019
