Salary: £38,296 - £41,496 a year plus £963 essential car user allowance (subject to criteria)

Hours: 37 hours a week
Basis: Permanent

About the job:

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team, where you will work closely with the Traffic Signals Team Leader on a range of different and challenging projects.

Some of these will include programming, design and implementation of Automatic Traffic Signals (ATS), including MOVA and SCOOT installations, Urban Traffic Management & Control (UTMC) and RTPI schemes, in accordance with current bidding requirements and professional standards.

You will also provide asset management expertise for all ITS assets, including various systems such as FMS, RMS, TMS, WebOS, SCOOT & RTPI, and will implement a risk-based approach to the whole lifecycle of Traffic Signals.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has in-depth experience in developing and producing detailed designs for, and management of, ATS and UTC installations.

We require someone who has demonstrable experience in procurement and site supervision of ATS and UTMC installations, and their auxiliary equipment.

The team are looking for a strong communicator who can deal effectively with a wide range of people and who is able to produce relatively complex reports, correspondence and other written material.

The ideal candidate will need to be a good planner who can competently use word processing, spreadsheet, AutoCAD and GIS software.

You will have the opportunity to develop on your already existing knowledge of relevant ATS, UTC and traffic management design standards and legislation, and knowledge of LINSIG and similar traffic signal software.

We ask that you have a relevant qualification e.g. BTEC, HNC/D, Degree or equivalent experience.
