City of York Council are seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Highways Capital Delivery Team.

Initially reporting to our Major Projects Delivery Manager you will be working within a team focussed on delivering highways related programmes including Carriageway and Footway Renewals as well as localised  individual Transport projects.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are willing to contribute to the teams growth and success. In return we will offer a range of diverse projects to work on as well as individual training and development opportunites.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly.
