Planning Support Officer
Part Time – 27.4hrs
£19,446 – £21,074 pro-rota

This is a 27.4hour per week role, with a work pattern of 9am – 2.30pm over 5 days a week.

(Starting salary will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with our career grade structure.)

Do you like a challenge and enjoy working within a busy and varied role?

We are looking for a motivated individual who is able to work under pressure and juggle a varied workload. The Planning Support Team provides all of the administrative support primarily to the Development Management function of Wychavon District Council and Malvern Hills District Council. This includes the validation and processing of planning and tree works applications, registering of permitted development and pre-application advice enquiries, administrative support for Planning Committee and Appeals, in addition to planning enquiries from the general public.

Good standard of education including GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English.

IT literate and familiar with using Windows, Word, Excel and document management systems.

We are looking for people with administrative experience in a multi-disciplined unit, delivering a wide range of administrative duties.

Ideally, the successful applicants will already have experience of working within a busy office environment, are able to organise a busy workload and provide support to other team members. It is desirable that the candidate will have experience of processing householder planning applications but this is not essential as training will be given.

Excellent interpersonal skills and customer care skills are also essential.
