An opportunity has arisen in the Sheltered Housing team for the role of Older Persons Housing Officer.

In this role, you will support the delivery of a comprehensive, customer-focused and responsive sheltered housing service. This will include supporting the development of older people’s services, working directly with customers and councillors, and liaising with other support agencies.

Day to day, you will be responsible for the supervision and line-management of an out-based sheltered housing team. You will support older people to live independently in a safe, comfortable environment that promotes social engagement to maximise well-being and reduce the adverse effects of social isolation and long-term health conditions.

You will also be responsible for the day-to-day tenancy and estate management of a patch of sheltered accommodation. This will involve dealing with complaints, investigating concerns relating to anti-social behaviour, building compliance and general housing enquiries.
