Salary range: Starting salary £32,637 to £44,691 p.a. (subject to qualifying criteria)

Exciting Opportunity for an experienced, Proactive Enforcement Officer
With a diverse community and a wide range of businesses, the successful candidate will join our busy and challenging work environment providing a Trading Standards service on a joint consortium basis for the London Boroughs of Brent and Harrow.
Spanning both inner and outer London, our boroughs offer huge contrasts in terms of their economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional officer to be based in Brent’s impressive Civic Centre located in the heart of the exciting Wembley Park retail development where you’ll be part of a friendly, committed regulatory team.
You will be required to undertake a full range of Trading Standards duties which will include investigation of service requests, supporting businesses of all sizes with both proactive and primary authority advice, identifying and maximising income earning opportunities and prepare criminal prosecution files working with our Financial investigators, across all disciplines including safety, fair trading, doorstep crime and rogue trading.
You must be a highly motivated team player with a detailed knowledge of a wide range of consumer protection legislation. The post involves regular contact with the public and business, therefore, excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a hard working attitude are essential.
