Sandwell Council’s HR Division is seeking a talented and motivated Data Analytics Officer to join its team on a full-time, six-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and strengthen our workforce reporting and insight capability while working in a hybrid environment. Please note: this vacancy is not open to interim or daily-rate contractors.

This role will play a key part in enhancing our HR reporting capability, with a strong focus on developing Power BI dashboards and creating workforce insights.

You will work closely with key stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across the Council.

In this role you will:

Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards to support the transition from Excel-based workforce reports and dashboards. Extract, cleanse and validate data from Oracle Fusion and other relevant data sources. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights to support senior leaders and strategic decision-making. Support the production of standardised reports for routine management information and key performance indicators. Work collaboratively with HR, Finance and service areas to understand business needs and reporting requirements. Ensure data quality, accuracy and compliance with data governance standards.
