You will provide catering support to individuals living with dementia and customers on the intermediate care units you will be required to follow weekly menus. You will contribute to the development of a customer focused service which is responsive and flexible to the needs of the customer.   

You will manage the day to day running of a kitchen and obtain accurate numbers of people who require meals on a daily basis which will include special diets or any individual requirements of service users. You will take into consideration the food budget when planning menus and preparing food and order provisions.  

Preparing, cooking, and serving meals in accordance with approved menu patterns, recipes, procedures and portion guidelines, including packed lunches where applicable.

You will be responsible for checking and recording all food and equipment temperatures in line with safe catering procedures and supervise kitchen staff and keep records for all orders, deliveries, stocks and usage of all goods in the kitchen.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional day’s leave (pro rata for part-time).
