This role will lead on many exciting projects and changes in 2024 set out in the corporate plan, including a new museum and cultural centre; a vessel replacement bid; as well as an opportunity to shape a new
leadership team and the culture of the organisation.
The ability to be adaptable, influence and inspire is essential. You will support modern ways of working through commercialisation and a business-like approach to support a strong performing and financially
sustainable Council. With a varied background in delivery of a breadth of services, you will be experienced in balancing strategic leadership with operational delivery. You will have extensive public sector
knowledge, including an excellent understanding of local government law and finance and a clear view of priorities. You will also ensure that the Council balances the need for innovation with the exceptional
