As Assistant Director of Civil Protection and member of the Corporate Management Team you will provide the strategic direction for, and management of a range of services designed to ensure Havering is a safe place to live, work and visit, working in partnership with other agencies to ensure the Council’s compliance with its statutory duties.

With substantial proven leadership and a record of successful management at a senior level within a multi-disciplinary public or private sector organisation, you will have gained experience of participation in and successful contribution to the strategic decision-making process of a large multi-disciplinary organisation. In depth knowledge of Regulatory Services and Community Safety along with in depth contemporary knowledge and the ability to provide consistent high-quality responsive services to the local community is pre-requisite.
