You will work within the Capital Delivery and Facilities Management Team (CDFM) focusing on a portfolio of either schools, corporate buildings or asset compliance, there will be an opportunity to discuss which during the selection process.
CDFM provides a Facilities Management Function for all of the Councils’ buildings and Land, including Schools, Commercial Assets, Corporate and Community Buildings, and Land etc. CDFM delivers Council wide capital delivery, servicing, compliance and asset maintenance within the Economy and Skills Service. The primary role of the CDFM team is to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective “one stop” advice and support service on all aspects of Facilities Management (FM) and Asset Compliance to users of Council assets.
As an Asset Management Officer working within this team you may be responsible for a portfolio of buildings and/or land ensuring they are safe, secure and suitable for use or you will work on specific projects across the wider Council Portfolio.
You will need to be flexible and proactive and ensure you provide excellent customer service
You will have a friendly and polite manner, meaning you are approachable, open and friendly in all dealings with staff, contractors, residents, Members and the public ensuring that expectations are managed and deadlines are met.
An understanding of Health and Safety in relation to Asset/Facilities Management is essential for this role.
