£13.4m will be spent on a variety of low carbon projects in Scotland, including solar panels placed on social housing in Aberdeenshire and a district heat network in Midlothian.
New company will build up to 70 units in some of the district’s ‘most-in-demand areas’.
The scheme will offer customers a range of tariffs with 100% renewable energy offered as standard, as well as an option to choose to receive 100% renewable gas.

Councils and groups from across England submitted over 100 proposals with the five taken forward receiving an initial £750,000 to help develop their plans.
