Senior Engineer (Traffic)

The Transportation Section have a vacancy for a Senior Engineer (Traffic) who will be responsible for the management of a team carrying out all functions of Traffic Management, Road Safety, Scottish Roads Works Register and Sustainable Travel initiatives.   The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of Strategies and Policies, budget management and day to day running of a small team of professional and technical staff. Situated in the north east of Scotland, on the coast of the Moray Firth the main city, Elgin, is home to our headquarters and is just 40 miles from Inverness and 65 from Aberdeen. Both these cities are served by easily accessed international and regional airports. Moray benefits from good road links via the A96 and A941 and a regular train service puts the rest of Scotland within reach.

Powys County Council is looking for a Regeneration professional to undertake the role of Professional Lead for the delivery of the Council’s Regeneration and Economic Development functions, including large scale external fund management, tourism and inward investment promotion. This is a brand new post, created at a time when the authority is entering an exciting and challenging phase.

Head of Strategy

As Head of Strategy you will be responsible for strategy and policy development for GBSLEP, including regular refreshes of the Strategic Economic Plan (SEP), and for ensuring that this work is underpinned by a robust evidence base.

You will lead refreshes of key strategic documents such as the ESIF Strategy, and the development of new ones as required, to ensure that they all align with, and help to take forward, the priorities in the Strategic Economic Plan. This work will help to support the development of a pipeline of investible propositions for the area.
