Winners revealed of 2024 Building Awards

Some of the biggest names in the industry secured titles at the ceremony in The Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Throughout 2024 the construction industry has faced an inundation of problems. From dire labour shortages, a spike in residential construction decline and supply chain and material shortages, it’s about time the industry received some good news.

On Tuesday 5th November this came in the form of an awards ceremony hosted at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London. The event, which was created by Building Magazine and marked the 30th anniversary ceremony, recognised immense achievements from dozens of organisations in the sector.

Beginning with Reds10, construction specialists who were handed two awards – Contractor of the Year and the MMC Award. What’s more, CPC Project Services picked up the prize for Construction Consultant of the Year for the second year running.

  • Architectural Practice of the Year: Ryder Architecture
  • Building Magazine Project of the Year: Mace Group, UCL Marshgate
  • Building’s Good Employer of the Year: Ridge & Partners
  • Construction Client of the Year: Transport for Greater Manchester
  • Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the Year (fewer than 100 staff): Keegans
  • Construction Consultant/Surveyor of the Year (over 100 staff): CPC Project Services
  • Contractor of the Year: Reds10
  • Delivering Social Value Award: VINCI Building
  • Digital Excellence Award: RLB Digital, RLB & Moda, Digital social value platform
  • Engineering Consultant of the Year: Cundall
  • Housebuilder of the Year: Mount Anvil
  • Housing Project of the year: Kier Construction, Marylebone Square
  • International Project of the Year: Ritchie Studio, The Brewhouse and Trident Park, Malta
  • Major Contractor of the Year: Mace Group
  • Manufacturer of the Year: Saint-Gobain Interior Solutions
  • MMC Award: SMART SLA for Army, Reds10
  • Net Zero Award: Greencore Homes, Hook Norton Community Land Trust
  • Retrofit Project of the Year: Quadrum Global, 11 Belgrave Road
  • Small Project of the Year: Tun House, A’Bear & Ball Architects
  • Specialist Contractor of the Year: Mivan
  • CEO of the Year: Dan Labbad chief executive, The Crown Estate

Commenting on the achievements, Chloe McCulloch, editorial director at Building, said: ‘The Building Awards attracted an impressive number of entries and the standard across all the categories has been exceptional showing the construction industry’s adaptability and resilience in challenging times.
