Tenant evicted after persistent anti-social behaviour in Carephilly

Caerphilly County Borough Council has evicted a tenant from a property in the Morgan Jones ward following repeated and serious disturbances.

The eviction was carried out on Thursday 8th January 2026 after the council’s Caerphilly Homes Anti-Social Behaviour Team failed to resolve ongoing issues affecting neighbours.

A full Closure Order was granted on the property in August 2025, following reports of persistent disturbances. A partial Closure Order had been in place since November 2024.

Despite these measures, the problems continued. In October 2025, the local authority successfully applied to the court for a Possession Order, which required the tenant to leave within 14 days.

When the tenant did not comply, bailiffs, supported by Heddly Gwent Police, carried out the eviction.

Cllr Shayne Cook, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing, said: ‘Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home and behaviour of the kind being caused at this property will not be tolerated in the Caerphilly borough.

‘Eviction is always a last resort, and while we aim to support tenants and resolve issues early, persistent nuisance of this nature leaves us with no alternative but to act decisively to protect our communities.’

Residents experiencing similar problems are encouraged to contact the Caerphilly Homes Anti-Social Behaviour Team for advice and support.

The team can be contacted via email at Caerphillyhomesasb@caerphilly.gov.uk or via phone on 01443 811440.
