A shipping container is to be converted into a new community hub space, as part of a regeneration project in Lincoln. The container will be situated on the corner of Portland Street and Hermit Street in the Sincil Bank area of the city. It is part of the place shaping framework commissioned by Lincoln City Council and will be placed on land currently used as a car park in an area that has been identified as a key gateway to Sincil Bank. The hub itself will provide a unique meeting and teaching space and will provide an accessible studio space which will be used for a range of collaborative projects between Lincoln University and the community.
