Over 1,400 new homes are set to be built in South Bristol, after a new development was approved yesterday (October 16).  The development will include homes, a public park, and business and education facilities on two brownfield sites at Hengrove Park and Hartfield Campus. The development will include a mixture of homes for social housing and shared ownership. At least one-third of the new homes will be affordable and in line with the council’s affordable housing policy. The council will work with Sport England to develop new sports pitches. Local play facilities are also planned for the new park, there will be 22.2 hectares of public parks and 4.4 hectares of other public spaces.
