Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has announced a further £23.7m of the Good Growth Fund will be spent on regeneration projects that benefit local communities across London.  The Good Growth Fund launched in 2017 and has been delivered in partnership with the London Economic Action Partnership (LEAP). In total, the fund has supported 138 projects, allocating more than £75m. The final round of funding is set to benefit 40 regeneration projects across London. One of the projects set to receive £1.2m is the Market Garden City in Waltham Forest and Haringey. The funding will be used to create new facilities for community food education, distribution, skills, training and volunteering and employment opportunities. The project hopes to safeguard and create more than 2,000 jobs, support almost 5,000 businesses and help 1,500 people to get back into work.
