Just how good are you at relationships?

Do you want to play a part in ensuring that residents’ voices make a ‘real’ difference to our business?

Town and Country Foundation is the charitable arm of Town and Country Housing Group. We gained charitable status in January 2007. Since then we have built a solid track record for innovation and creative solutions to social issues. It is an exciting time for the Foundation as we extend our activities across Kent and Sussex.

This is your opportunity to join us…

tchgYou will be part of a dynamic team that is results driven. You will need to be flexible and have the ability to manage a range of competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

We base our activities on identified community needs and then work with residents to create sustainable solutions. This could be a social enterprise a charity or a new way of working with partners.

You will need energy, drive and passion. We have made a significant difference in achieving our aim of ‘Creating Places Where People Prosper’. Our reputation has been enhanced by involvement in nine national pilots in the last five years. Our project work has also been recognised recently at a national level – making the final shortlist at the Inmotion Project of the Year and being highly commended at the Third Sector Business Charity Awards.

There is though, more to do, and the Housing Group’s increased investment in the charity is focused on reinvigorating the Customer Engagement function, dovetailing this with Foundation project work and extending our reach to north and east Kent.

So you will need to be a skilled and experienced practitioner in community engagement. We are tasked with driving forward the Housing Group’s rating on residents perspective of their views being taken into account and increasing overall satisfaction with services. So you will need to able to communicate with diverse stakeholders both within and outside the organisation.

townandcountryWe are seeking two Community Engagement and Investment Managers, one based in East Kent one based in West Kent. The successful candidate’s customer involvement skills will be matched by their project management skills. We are also recruiting a Fundraising and Evaluation Officer who will focus on proving our impact including the social return on investment and seeking the external funds to extend the Charities work.

Our approach involves having clear plans in place for all activities to ensure long term sustainability either as new mainstream services in housing or new independent delivery vehicles. The Foundation is viewed by the group as a ‘test bed’ for new initiatives that fall outside the traditional ‘landlord’ functions. We have built a legacy of social enterprises, charities or services that began as a Foundation idea.

We are based in a beautiful County – Kent (Tunbridge Wells) and we offer competitive salaries as well as a generous employee benefits package including 25 days annual leave + 3 days between Christmas and New Year, plus bank holidays, private medical insurance (upon completion of probation), stakeholder pension with generous employer contributions amongst many other staff benefits.
