Dominvs Group appoints new construction director

London developer Dominvs Group has appointed John Ko (pictured) as its new construction director.

Mr Ko has more than 25 years’ experience managing landmark construction projects in his native Australia and the UK and will take up the role with immediate effect.

His work as a development project manager began with his role on the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, where he was responsible for the development and construction of the 6,000 bed Media Village.

Other major projects around this time included the demolition, refurbishment and opening of a 1.1m sq.ft. mixed use retail centre in Sydney for Westfield Corporation and the KPMG Office Tower with integrated fit out in Sydney, which later won the highest Green Star rating in Australia, on behalf of Brookfield Multiplex.

Following a secondment move to the UK with Brookfield Multiplex he joined the £500m Wembley National Stadium project as the senior project manager.

He joined Goldman Sachs International in 2015 as the senior project director responsible for the construction delivery of the £250m bespoke 8,000 staff campus in Bangalore, India which achieved 12.5m safe man hours without lost time injury together with LEED Platinum and WELL Gold sustainability ratings.

He also worked on the new £400m 6,500 staff ‘state of the art’ London campus as the executive director which was completed under budget and on time.
