We are creating a new directorate to deliver better, more integrated housing, health and wellbeing services for our residents and tenants.
The postholder will lead on delivering the smooth transition of our high performing ALMO, Newark and Sherwood Homes back into the Council, providing stability and ensuring service continuity and improvement.
We are looking for someone who has a senior background in housing operations, performance improvement, service reform, integration and strategic partnership working. You will be truly dedicated to driving change in deprived communities and addressing inequalities. You will also be an exemplary leader and people person who’s outwardly facing and highly collaborative and capable of securing highly effective working arrangements with our local partners to deliver tangible quality of life improvements.
This job is temporary until October 2020 due to funding.
Community and Environmental Support Officers have one of two main focuses; Community Safety or Environmental.
The purpose of this role is to work with members of the public, partners and communities to understand and address community safety issues at the earliest opportunity, ideally by preventing them in the first place.
The Parks, Estates and Open Spaces Department have openings in its Park Ranger Team. This is an opportunity to be part of a busy front line team responsible for the cleanliness, security and general maintenance of all the Parks and Open Spaces owned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich. These roles require good customer care skills and involves regular contact with members of the public and working in partnership with park users, friends groups, event organisers and others, this is a challenging, yet rewarding position.
As the Council’s S151 Officer and Chief Finance Officer you will ensure the financial sustainability of the Council is maintained by working with the management team to make our ambitions a reality. You’ll be required to lead on a variety of exciting projects which the Council is currently involved in, including the modernisation of our ICT infrastructure and the review of our office accommodation.
You will be responsible for overseeing a series of key operational and customer facing services, many of which are what our communities use regularly, and value the most.
You’ll be required to review the current contracts in place in areas such as refuse and leisure management, work in partnership with our members and operate in a commercial way to ensure the organisation gets best value for money. We want you to challenge the way things are done and push through service enhancements that benefit both the organisation and the residents of Stratford on Avon. You will need to be approachable, have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to improving the services we provide and seeing them through to delivery.
