Business Manager – Regeneration

This position is a fixed term contract for 15 months, covering maternity leave.

Located in the West Midlands, Sandwell is a metropolitan borough in the Black Country, which is made up of six towns – Oldbury, Rowley Regis, Smethwick, Tipton, Wednesbury and West Bromwich. The Repairs and Investment service within the Housing and Safer Communities Directorate, delivers responsive repairs, capital and major works, and all safety and compliance services to our 25,000 Council tenants and leaseholders. We carry out approx. 80,000 repairs a year, and will this year deliver capital programmes of c£30m through a range of contractors. Our repairs service is mainly delivered by our in-house team, with some more specialist services being delivered by external contractors.

Housing Regulatory Officer

Chelmsford is looking for an enthusiastic officer with experience in dealing with housing conditions to join our Housing Standards Team.  The work will include dealing with the  licensing and inspection of Houses in Multiple Occupation, including the assessment of conditions and property management against minimum legal standards . The officer will also take on the day to day work associated with empty properties in the District and encouraging with owners to bring them back into use, escalating as necessary to legal action and deal with a varied range of service requests.

Partnership Director (Fixed Term for 2 years)

The Tactran region lies at the heart of Scotland’s strategic transport network, comprising the local authority areas of Angus, Dundee City, Perth & Kinross and Stirling.  Covering 3 of Scotland’s 7 cities, numerous smaller towns and villages, and a significant lowland and highland rural catchment which includes parts of the Cairngorms and the Loch Lomonds & the Trossachs National Parks, the region, its transport and connectivity and associated economic, social and environmental needs and challenges, are extremely varied and diverse.
