You will be responsible for a given geographic area in the District, overseeing the work carried out both by external contractors and an in-house Ranger Service. It is essential that you have extensive experience of managing maintenance contracts, operational health and safety, and budget management.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our in-house pension administration team for a Senior Pensions Officer, looking to progress further in a supervisory role. Reporting to the Deputy Pensions Manager you will have management line responsibility for up to 5 Pensions Officers and will contribute to the efficient and effective preparation and processing of a comprehensive pensions administration and pensions payroll service.
To make decisions about housing applications (this does not include homelessness decisions), allocate temporary and permanent housing and support council tenants to move in accordance with the homelessness accommodation strategy and placement policy including utilising the housing allocations scheme and other council policies and priorities. You will also be providing a casework service that contributes to improved wellbeing, resilience and reduced poverty through activities such as preparing prospective social housing tenants to sustain their new home.
This is a fantastic opportunity for two passionate Homelessness Prevention Advisers to join the Supporting People Directorate. The role will involve preventing and assessing homelessness by providing the highest standard of housing advice and assistance with appropriate housing options in accordance with the homelessness accommodation strategy, placement policy and homeless legislation.
Working within the London Borough of Bexley’s Community Partnerships Team, you will help us to raise our game in bidding for and securing significant levels of external funding that supports the Council and its voluntary and community partners to achieve their ambitions and strategic objectives.
