Senior Planning Officers

Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils are proactive successful local planning authorities that have joined their Planning Services into a shared service. The posts are hosted by Malvern Hills District Council but will work and be based in Wychavon District with occasional need to work cross border. The Council offices are situated within the Georgian Town of Pershore, close to accessible, attractive countryside within South Worcestershire. We are currently looking for a Senior Planning Officer to join our team of professionals and support the Development Manager in dealing with major planning applications within our district.

Area Planning Officer

Malvern Hills District Council and Wychavon District Council are proactive and successful authorities that have recently combined their Planning Services team. Employed by Malvern Hills District Council, this role will be based primarily in Wychavon, situated in accessible, attractive countryside within South Worcestershire.

We are currently looking for a chartered Town Planner in the role of Area Planning Officer. This role will manage one of the Development Management area teams in Wychavon dealing with a wide variety of application types for an authority that has a robust five year land supply.

37 hours per week

Our Street Zero partnership aims to make it everyone’s business to end rough sleeping in Newcastle by 2022. Newcastle has the lowest rate of people found rough sleeping of the English core cities, however we know that this relative success is also an absolute failure for those people who still sleep rough in our city.

We are recruiting a Rough Sleeping Coordinator to help the Council and its partners to provide leadership and coordination to improve the effectiveness of the city’s responses to ensure that no one should have to sleep rough.


Opportunities have arisen for two Tenancy Sustainment Officers for one year.

The successful candidate will provide a high standard tenancy support, advice, guidance and coordination of support to assist rough sleepers and those at risk of homelessness in accessing accommodation and securing tenancies. You will also work to ensure the delivery of a set number tenancies from social and private landlords under the Rapid Rehousing Pathway Project.


Opportunities have arisen for two Housing Management Officers for one year.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day delivery of the housing management services to tenants that require this service living in a Local Lettings Agency property. This will include working with vulnerable people to ensure successful tenancies.
