Rural Crime Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity to make a difference to those affected by rural crime across South Warwickshire.

Working in partnership with the Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner we are looking for a second part-time Rural Crime Adviser to join our small, busy and friendly Community Safety team.

Your role will be to engage with rural communities and individuals affected by rural crime to provide reassurance, promote crime prevention advice and implement solutions, organise community events and co-ordinate partnership action, where necessary.

An opportunity has arisen for an Employment and Development Support Officer required initially until 31st December 2019 with the expectation of a longer term contract until 31st March 2021 once match funding has been confirmed by DWP.

The Durham Advance project is an EU funded programme to help support unemployed and inactive residents with health conditions, with an additional focus on unemployed and inactive residents aged 50+ who have health conditions and/or other barriers preventing them from entering the labour market. Each area team will have dedicated Employment & Development Support Officers to support the delivery of this programme and the Council’s local employability initiatives. The post holder will be a dedicated officer who will play a key role in the efficient and effective delivery of the Durham Advance programme.

Deputy Area Housing Manager

Our housing management division has a reputation for high quality and innovative services efficiently provided to our leaseholders and tenants. Located within central area team, a vacancy has arisen for a reliable, hard-working and enthusiastic deputy area housing manager.

You will be responsible for the provision of an effective housing management service to approximately 7000 tenants and leaseholders in the Putney area.  You will primarily be responsible for the operational management of the office and the day to day running of the services. You will take the lead on leasehold management issues and cases of disrepair, and deputise for the area housing manager in her absence. You must have a keen eye for detail and have the ability to work on your own initiative. You will need strong management skills, experience of dealing with complex housing management issues, and a good knowledge of housing legislation.
