AONB Development Officer

37 Hours per week – Permanent

The Cannock Chase AONB Partnership brings together local authorities, statutory agencies, non-government organisations and the local community to conserve and enhance this stunning part of Staffordshire.

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled development officer to drive forward the Partnership’s activities. Your significant experience in the environment sector and understanding of the issues and opportunities for protected landscapes will enable you to lead development work for this beautiful area.  You will keep a strategic overview of the Partnership’s activities, develop programmes of activity to deliver the statutory AONB management plan and lead work on fund raising, visitor management, connecting with communities and businesses, communications and exploring the sustainability of the partnership.

Hambleton District Council is seeking to recruit two officers to join the Environmental Health Service, a Commercial Team Leader and a Scientific Officer.

In the County of North Yorkshire, Hambleton is a rural authority nestled between the beautiful landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks. It is recognised for the quality of life in its picturesque market towns and major villages of Bedale, Thirsk, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Easingwold. The main town and administrative center is Northallerton.

Planning Officer or Graduate Planning Officer

9 month fixed term contract with possible extension.

We are looking to recruit either a planner or graduate planner, depending upon experience, in a fixed term role within the Development Strategy Team.

You will be a highly motivated individual and will play an integral role in our growth agenda and deliver on our emerging Local Plan, supporting communities producing Neighbourhood Plans as well as providing advice on planning applications.
