Project Officer – Employer Engagement

37.0 Hours per Week

This is a fixed term post until 12 June 2020. Potential to extend into 2021.

We are looking for a pro-active and enthusiastic individual to join Solihull Council’s Employment and Skills Team to help deliver the Employed for Success project across the Borough. The project will support jobseekers aged 30+ to move into employment, education or training.

Housing Administration Assistant – Fixed Term Contract up to 31st December 2019

The post holder will be responsible for providing the administrative service for the licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation. Providing a high quality customer focused advisory service for landlords, lettings agents and tenants. Experience of working in housing or licensing administration would be an advantage.

Project Manager (Construction)

The Role

This is an exciting and challenging time for Kirklees and we want to expand our team to manage and deliver construction related projects, to achieve the Council’s ambitions.

The Council aims to revitalise Huddersfield Town Centre, transform Dewsbury Town Centre and North Kirklees, deliver significant housing growth in line with the new Local Plan and provide the infrastructure required to enable this to happen including new schools, leisure facilities, specialist accommodation and roads.

Coventry has a proud record as an International City of Peace and Reconciliation and a City of Sanctuary.

The Council was one of the first to respond to the crisis in the Middle East by supporting the resettlement of the most vulnerable refugees fleeing the violent conflict in Syria. Coventry currently resettles around 100 refugees per year with the support of a partnership of dynamic and innovative voluntary sector agencies working alongside the Council and other statutory partners.

Income Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our highly regarded Income Team, managing a team of staff responsible for the billing and collection of Council Tax, Business Rates, Sundry Income and overpaid Housing Benefits.

As Income Team Leader, you will:

  • Plan the team’s workload and manage individual as well as team performance
  • Carry out appraisals and one-to-ones whilst motivating and training staff
  • Analyse income collection and trends
  • Draft income collection and review timetables
