Housing Needs Officer

Birmingham City Council is the one of the largest local authorities in Europe, with responsibility for running and delivering nearly all local services to its citizens.

An opportunity has arisen for 2 Housing Needs Officers to be appointed on a fixed term basis, working within Birmingham City Council’s, Housing Options, Registration Team. The posts will have a duration of 6 months and starting as soon as possible.

Homelessness Prevention Coordinator

An opportunity has arisen in the District Council’s housing advice team for the role of a Homelessness Prevention Coordinator.  The posts primary function is to prevent homelessness by retaining current accommodation or, where this is not possible, provide access to a range of suitable alternative housing options fulfilling the Council’s statutory obligation under the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced individual to lead, manage, and develop the Council’s Development Management team. The team includes the Enforcement, Conservation, Community Infrastructure Levy, Land Charges, Street Naming, and Technical Support functions of the Council, in addition to managing the delivery of the Building Control service, currently secured via the East Midlands Buildings Consultancy in partnership with South Kesteven and Rushcliffe Borough Council’s.
