An opportunity has arisen for a Community Housing Officer to work within the Housing Development Team until 31st March 2020.
They will assist in the delivery of the following functions;
• Identify and encourage community groups to promote the development
and delivery of housing to help fulfil the housing needs of the locality
• Identify land that would be suitable for community led housing
• Promote community led housing strategically within the Council
• Promote community led housing to the wider community
• Be the key point of contact for community groups looking to develop
community led housing

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Options Service as a Senior Housing Needs Officer within the Temporary Accommodation Finance Team.
The role involves carrying out a variety of tasks to assist the Service perform its statutory duty to provide Temporary Accommodation and maximising income.
You will be responsible for the collection of current and former arrears, helping with benefit claims, making payment arrangements, maximising revenue and implementing rent escalation procedures and invoicing.
