We are looking for an experienced officer to join and support the Programme Management Team with the successful implementation of a number of Walsall and Black Country wide programmes and projects.

Joint Head of Service: Finance and Resources (Section 151)

Bolsover District Council and NE Derbyshire District Council are two sovereign Councils serving communities in beautiful Derbyshire; a great place to live and work. We are continuing to build a Joint Senior Management Team that knows no limits.

As an integral part of this “one team” you will be leading services across both Councils working closely with our communities, colleagues, elected members and partners to make a real difference: sharing our ambition to see communities thrive and people flourish.

Chief Operating Officer

In Colchester we thrive by doing things differently. It’s what enables us to ensure that our strategic leaders are actually strategic. It’s also what has driven an ambitious commercial agenda that has launched three subsidiary companies and established a financial foundation for the council to build for the future. This role will place you at the very centre of our organisation – with an oversight over all of organisational activity; scrutinising and challenging performance; working with elected members to shape strategic financial planning. Any ambitious candidate will be quick to identify that this role is the perfect platform to build your credentials as a future Chief Executive.

Interim Development Manager

Interim Development Managers are required by our local authority client to lead the delivery of significant property and regeneration projects.

Activities will include:

Establishing project feasibility
Obtaining master planning and design as appropriate
Appraising viability and securing funding
Securing planning permission where necessary
Procurement and management of consultants and construction services
Supervision of developments
Budget management and cost projections
Ensuring, legal, regulatory and policy compliance including health and safety reporting
Many schemes will be delivered in conjunction with other public sector partners and stakeholders so applicants must be skilled in partnership working and have good political awareness.
