A major change in Housing legislation sees the Homelessness Reduction Act come into force from 1st April 2018. This has created the need to introduce a brand new team focussed on preventing homelessness. You will need the ability to be creative and solution focussed to ensure we are offering practical relevant advice and guidance to everyone with a housing need.

Chief Officer (Environment and Technical)

Salary range: £85,000 – £95,000

The Role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. You will lead on the Environment and Technical portfolio, as well as actively contributing to our collective leadership goals to deliver long term improvement and sustainable services for Wrexham County Borough Council.

Neighbourhood Services Operations Manager

37 hours per week
Louth Depot, Fairfield Industrial Estate (Lincolnshire)
Permanent Contract

This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Council’s Neighbourhood Services department to oversee the delivery of the cleansing and grounds maintenance function in one of the largest Districts of the UK.  This role plays a pivotal part in the Council’s commitment to ensuring the District, environment & wider community is kept clean and safe.  You will oversee a large operational team who are proud to keep our stunning coastlines, rural landscapes and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to a high standard.

Principal Advisor (Oxford)

A vacancy has arisen for a post of Principal Advisor based in Oxford. APSE is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to bring a new range of skills to the existing team and fit within the current mix of portfolios.

The Principal Advisor will provide a broad range of advisory, research and information services to APSE committees and member authorities, as well as having responsibility for coordinating and developing regional membership. The post holder will also take responsibility for managing the existing support team based in Oxford.
