Lead Specialist: Prosperity and Economic Development

We aim to become a world changing organisation that delivers exceptional customer experience and lifts our ambitions. We are undergoing a transformational programme of change at the same time as creating one new council, named Somerset West & Taunton, which will cover the area currently administered by Taunton Deane Borough Council and West Somerset Council. With this change comes the unique opportunity to wholeheartedly transform our ways of working and we are recruiting to a new team that will help us move from a traditional service-based structure to a borderless and flexible way of working that is fundamentally aligned to our priorities of people, place and prosperity.

Executive Director of Strategy and Transformation

Bury has a very proud heritage and a history that is the envy of others. It is well located for connectivity to the wider Greater Manchester and has potential for significant growth and development. The focus is now on transforming the way we work as an organisation to reform public services to achieve improved outcomes for Bury people.

The Executive Director will provide the leadership, energy and drive to the corporate team and take responsibility for modernising the ways we work across the whole authority.
