We are looking for three experienced professionals to lead us through an exciting period which will see the implementation of a radical new model for commissioning and community based services as well as the strengthening of our early intervention and prevention work.
Assistant Director of Preventative & Community Based Services
Barking and Dagenham has amazing potential. Located at the heart of the Thames Gateway with strong transport links to Central London, it has a proud heritage, 530 hectares of green belt and excellent leisure and sporting facilities. Our potential is matched by our ambition with a plan to build 60,000 new homes and create over 10,000 jobs in the next 20 years. Ours will be a Borough where no one is left behind.
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative and motivated leader and manager who is committed to improving educational outcomes for every child. The Head of Development is responsible for ensuring that Derbyshire County Council fulfils its statutory duty of ensuring that there are sufficient school places across the County. This will require the strategic planning of school places in a well-planned and structured manner, proposing and managing school reorganisations arising from that function. The post will also take a strategic role in the leadership and management of school admissions in line with the relevant legislation.
‘With good design, the costs of doing this are a tiny proportion of the overall cost of a housing development.’
Hart district is a place where tradition and innovation co-exist. We offer a fantastic quality of life and have repeatedly been identified as the best place to live in the UK, whilst still being 40 minutes from central London, and the same distance from the south coast. We’re an ambitious council, but there’s little traditional in how we operate, with commercial partnerships and shared services which have helped us to establish a business model that’s more than fit for the future.
Without radical reform, swathes of people face a future where they have skills mismatched for jobs.
This could not be a more important time to join Kensington and Chelsea. This is a new era for the Council and we are positive and enthused about the changes taking place to ensure we connect to our communities. There is an uncompromising desire across the Council to deliver high quality services for our residents and this new role sits at the heart of our corporate leadership team who will ensure we deliver.
This is your chance to lead major regeneration programmes across two, united councils. Yes, it’s a big challenge. But that’s exactly what you’re looking for.
Forward-thinking and visionary, you’ll boost our districts’ economic growth by accessing investment opportunities and providing expert strategic leadership. It means you’ll oversee the delivery of house building programmes and infrastructure projects – all to enable social regeneration. So it’s a role of real importance.
Visionary, dedicated and ambitious – that’s you. And this is your chance to play a vital role in the transformation of two councils moving as one.
You’ll bring an expert touch to leading our planning policy and development teams, including areas such as planning enforcement, design and conservation, and building control. It’s about providing thousands of people with the quality, value for money services they deserve – while always keeping our vision and values in mind. Positive and collaborative, you’ll foster beneficial relationships across the councils. That way, we’ll be more united, working towards the same goals.
