The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in carrying out any quantity surveying duties including assisting in agreeing with contracting partners ‘agreed maximum prices’, valuing variations, processing valuation payments and agreeing final accounts to ensure successful delivery of repairs and maintenance & planned works programmes.
Sefton Council are seeking to recruit a full time, permanent post of Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Officer within the busy Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Team (Transportation and Highways Infrastructure) based in Magdalen House, Bootle.
The focus of this role within the multidisciplinary team is to assist in the design and delivery of mainly inland drainage schemes, assessment of drainage related planning applications and Flood Risk Assessments. Some coastal management/ coastal engineering knowledge or experience may also be required. An awareness of the Land Drainage Act (1991), Flood and Water Management Act (2010), Flood Risk Regulations (2009), Coast protection Act (1949) and roles and responsibilities of a Lead Local Flood Authority is required. Practical experience of using a GIS and Microdrainage would be beneficial.

As a Library Customer Advisor you will work as a member of the library team delivering a wide range of literacy, reading and learning services and helping to promote wider community participation.
