BEEP Project Engagement Officer

An opportunity has arisen for a BEEP Project Engagement Officer required until 30 September 2022
in relation to business engagement. The post holder is responsible for providing advice, support and a range of organisational and logistical duties in relation to the European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) Business Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP).

Applicants should hold a NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent in a related subject OR have substantial related professional experience together with experience of supporting the successful delivery of projects with engagement and communication.

We are seeking an experienced, professional and well-motivated individual to undertake a full range of duties within the Strategic Housing Team.  Working across Herefordshire your key objectives will be to drive the development and delivery of affordable housing.  The role will support the discharge of the council’s statutory duties as a strategic housing authority through the application of current specialist housing legislation, policy and good practice, guiding multiple schemes and proposals through the complexity of housing and planning law.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working in housing development, strategy or planning, preferably within a local authority.  You will be an effective communicator, confident working alongside and negotiating with senior leaders, elected representatives and the public, private and voluntary sector.

Retail Market Officer

The successful postholder will provide specialist advice to ensure appropriate regard for nature conservation and biodiversity across all Green Space services. They will also provide guidance for the planning department on applications and wider strategy and policy.
